Lacey Brown holds a B.A. and a M.M. in Percussion Performance. Her areas of expertise are in drum set and orchestral percussion. Her principal teachers have been Mike Crusoe, Dan Adams, Tom Collier, and Steve Korn.
Lacey has performed most recently with Amy Grant and three-time Grammy Award-winning artist, Michael W. Smith. She has also played with Orchestra Seattle, Thalia Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Peace Chorus, The Gilbert and Sullivan Society, Grace Experimental Orchestra, Seattle Rock Orchestra, The Seattle Minimalist Ensemble, Village Theatre, and Music Theatre Works. She has drummed for several Seattle bands including The Opiate Mass, Dolour, Hannalee, Robert Deeble, Eric Miller Band, Tara Ward, and Graham Travis. Lacey has shared the stage with Feist, Death Cab For Cutie, Jesse Sykes, Damien Jurado, Rosie Thomas, Pedro The Lion, and Jennifer Knapp.
Brown has worked with several organizations coaching and teaching percussion including Trinity Lutheran College, Cascade Youth Symphony, St. Mark’s Cathedral, Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, Emerald City Ringers, King’s Schools, Rotary Boys and Girls Club, Seattle School of Music, and Coda School of Music.
